Quitting Smoking Side Effects
To quit smoking is a true lifetime goal!
Why do I say that?
Simple came out of that “Hell”, stop smoking so stop spending thousand of dollars only to slowly, but surely, kill yourself, be free from so heavy slavery...could be considered something else?
Off course not!
The problem is that a large part of smokers (and incredibly also the non-smokers) truly believe that quit smoking has to be an “incredible effort”, something as near to impossible to achieve.
Now the truth is that only a “mindset” matter.
In fact, as I say in an other article I wrote (http://hubpages.com/hub/smoking-how-to-get-out-of-the-trap ), with the right mindset you, as I did and as everybody can do, can stop smoking easily and effortlessly.
Nevertheless, I would like to underline the “quitting smoking timeline” as it really is.
How you will discover soon so feared quitting smoking symptoms are actually not that fearful, and the unbearable Nicotine withdrawal neither!
Starting from the problem of nicotine addiction, remember that, if it is true that the nicotine effect is the faster to capture your body (compared to other heavy drugs), it is also true that the withdrawal symptoms are so light that the 99% of ex-smokers not even have to suffer them!
Now the central point of all the quitting smoking effort is, once again, only a “mind” matter!
In fact we build up the reasons to start smoking, we build up the reasons to continue to smoke, and...WE BUILD UP the reasons why stop smoking is so hard!
Do you see the power of what I said?
YES!...if you build up something you are free to shoot down at any time!
So? You are probably wondering what will happen if you do it...
Ok this matter could be a little bit tricky...so let me explain what happened to me...
First I started to habituate myself at the “new mindset” about the whole smoking thing.
Than I stopped smoking (I mean NO CIGARETTES at all!!!)
At the end the withdrawal began...
Now, the fact that I had finally framed the problem properly DOES NOT mean I am immune to all the factors I suffered in the last 20 years!
This is very important, a new awareness on the smoking habits is the only way to free yourself without pain. The very first time you cannot think your mind is free from all the old believes that push you to start and than to continue to smoke.
So do you need or not a strong will to stop smoking?
The answer is: NO!
But you always have to remember that, a little and simple to maintain, will is obviously required though!
Normally people think that quit smoking is near to impossible, and so you have to impose yourself to resist every single moment of every day for the rest of your life.
Now the good news is that THIS is NOT TRUE!
We said that the Nicotine withdrawal is very light, and I add, it is scientifically proven that the human body free itself completely from the nicotine residue in about 3 weeks after the last dose.
So there is NOT a physical problem to quit smoking!
The mind ones?
Good, as I told you before, if you create something, only you can change it!
Is it hard?
Depends...on how much YOU DECIDE it is!
I can ensure you that in the first days after your quitting decision, you will be nervous and scared, and you will feel a “great temptation” to start smoking again...
BUT I can promise you that this thing does not depend on a sort of irresistible force (physical or mental)...
It will be YOU, just YOU, trying to do something you are habituated to do, something you had considered for years impossible to quit...
At the same moment you will remember that IT IS NOT impossible to quit, and you remember that only you can decide what you want or not to do...your life will be changed forever and YOU will no longer smoke!
Remember there is no compulsion in smoking!
It is only a personal choice, maybe helped from a wonderful marketing and a little help from the nature, but:
SMOKING is a PERSONAL CHOICE!
You can keep doing it or you CAN QUIT smoking!
